The QCSSetup<version>.exe is the program that you will install the QCS program with. Launch the program through your Window Explorer, the RUN command, or however you are used to doing that sort of thing. This is a self-extracting file and will create the necessary files and folders to complete the installation. The"install window" will close automatically when the extraction process is finished. The program pretty much installs itself and asks only minimal questions.

The setup program determines whether or not your computer already has QCS installed or if it does not. If you have already installed the program, the setup will "update" your existing application and database. If you have not yet installed the program, the setup will do a complete new install. This must be run on every QCS workstation.

The SDEF Companion is provided to allow you to merge two separate SDEF files and to check the file for compatibility to the QCS and RMS software programs. The file is easy to install and have a Help file embedded with the program to explain its use.
